Speaker to cover world's longest-lived peoples

Renowned speaker Nick Buettner will present at an event sponsored by Rochester Public Schools' Community Adult Enrichment. The event, part of the Community Education 40 Years of Service program, is set for Thursday, Oct. 2 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the John Marshall High School auditorium.

The event is titled, "What are Blue Zones and How Do We Create a Healthy Community?"

Buettner's work with the Blue Zones expedition has provided him with a first-hand, in-person glimpse of places where there is the greatest life expectancy and where more people reach age 100 than anywhere else in the world. Using National Geographic photography and storytelling, Buettner takes audiences to these longest-lived cultures, shares his own observations from the field, and provides groups with ideas to immediately increase their own well-being.
