ST. CHARLES — A motorcyclist from St. Charles was injured in a crash with a pickup truck on U.S. 14 near Olmsted County Road 10 on Friday night.
Vilay Phayvanh, 20, was eastbound on the highway wne the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pickup driven by Casey Ihrke, 29, of Dover, as Ihrke was attemping to cross the highway, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Phayvanh was transported to Saint Marys Hospita in Rochester with what the report describes as serious injuries. Ihrke didn't appear to be injured, the report says.
A Mayo Clinic helicopter responded to the scene, as did St. Charles police and ambulance crew members, and Olmsted County deputies.
The crash was reported at 9:12 p.m.
