ST. PAUL — Minnesota will be seeking citizen input on its draft State and Regional Parks and Trails Legacy Plan.

The legislatively mandated plan seeks to establish a vision and to guide funding for the next 25 years of state and regional park and trail efforts under the Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment approved in 2008.

The Department of Natural Resources is partnering with the nonpartisan Citizens League to offer a variety of opportunities to provide input on the plan before it's presented to the Legislature by Feb. 15.

Starting in early December, citizens can review the plan and provide feedback on it online at http://citizing.org and at five workshops. They'll be Dec. 2 in Mankato, Dec. 6 in Duluth, Dec. 7 in Bemidji and Dec. 8 in St. Paul.
