A weak weather system moving across the upper Midwest is expected to spread light snow across the Austin area on Saturday, with an inch or two of accumulation.
The high for Saturday is 14 degrees, with wind-chill values dropping to minus 11, according to the National Weather Service.
A stronger storm system will move through the upper Midwest on Sunday evening and Monday, the weather service says. The storm might pass to the south of the Austin area. The storm is expected to dump snow, sleet and freezing rain in its path.
Monday will be sunny and blustery, with a high near 26, the weather service says.
Then it's supposed to get warmer, with a high near 34 on Tuesday under sunny skies.

The normal high temperature for southeastern Minnesota at this time of year is about 30 degrees, with the record for Rochester of 58 degrees set in 2000. The normal low is 15, with the record of minus 28 set in 1940.
