A two-week closure for road work on Third Avenue Southeast will reopen to traffic on Tuesday. The block from 9 1/2 to 10th Street Southeast had been closed for sewer work.
New concrete pavement is curing during the weekend, and minor, miscellaneous work will take place Tuesday morning. The road should be reopened by 1 p.m., according to a city of Rochester news release.
The street reopening will affect city bus routes and schedule that had been affected by the closure. Bus riders should pay close attention to schedules as normal routes and times are re-established, according to the city release.
During the Labor Day Weekend, motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists should use care in traveling through or near the work area and observe all traffic control signage, the release said.
Updates on the project are posted at the city public works website .
