A public meeting to discuss Minnesota's 20-year Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Rochester Public Library, 101 Second St. S.E.
A brief presentation is planned for 4:30 p.m. and will be repeated at 6 p.m. People may come and go at any time.
Topics include the recently adopted Minnesota GO vision for transportation , current transportation system, challenges and opportunities facing transportation, draft plan objectives and strategies, and how the plan will be used.
Minnesota's 20-year Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan establishes guidance and priorities for state transportation decisions. There will be a public comment period and public hearing in March or April, after the draft plan is available. The final plan is scheduled for adoption in the spring.
