LEROY — Turning Point Stable's new equine assisted psychotherapy program hopes to change lives through horses.

The stable near LeRoy is offering an experiential type of counseling with the help of licensed psychologist Sharon Davern and certified Eagala equine specialist Ardelle Peters.

Clients will be guided through tasks that are metaphorical to their problems using horses to mirror the their emotions and situations.

There is no horseback riding or horse care involved in the therapy. The horses are allowed to roam freely in the arena.

The stable will hold demonstrations from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 21 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 22.
