"Cooperation" was the theme at the dedication of the new Winona State University Rochester Center, on the Rochester Community College campus. Construction of the $2.9 million building began 14 months ago.

A group of mothers with twins have established a club to exchange ideas and help each other. 

Mrs. Richard Chase of Chatfield is one of four Minnesota 4-H alumni named state winners in the national 4-H alumni recognition program.

Wabasha will have a paving festival to celebrate the Highway 61 pavement between Wabasha and Lake City. The newly paved stretch opened for traffic last week.

An estimated 100,000 hunters will crowd the north woods this weekend for the opening of deer season.
