Two injured in I-90 crash

ST. CHARLES — Two Winona residents were injured Sunday afternoon on Interstate 90 five miles east of St. Charles after the car they were in drifted toward a semitractor while passing, lost control, over-corrected and went into the median.

The Minnesota State Patrol said Kelsey Papenfuss, 24, and McKenna Papenfuss, 17, were taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. They were not listed this morning. The truck driver, Travis House, 31, of Chatfield, was not injured.

The state patrol report said Kelsey Papenfuss was eastbound at the time of the crash, which occurred about 4:30 p.m.
