Two injured Sunday in motorcycle crashes

Two motorcyclists were injured on state highways in the region Sunday, the State Patrol reported.

In the first crash, Eric S. Wood, 54, of West Concord was driving west on Minnesota State Highway near West Albany when he lost control and went into the ditch.

He was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus, Rochester. He is in good condition today, according to a Mayo spokeswoman.

The crash was reported 10:18 a.m.

In the second one, Craig T. Slusher, 28, of Black River Falls, Wis. was driving his motorcycle west on Minnesota State Highway 76 north of Caledonia when he lost control, hit the guardrail and was thrown over the guardrail.

He was taken to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis., the patrol said.

Slusher was treated and released, according to a Gundersen spokeswoman.

The crash was reported at 5:41 p.m.
