Two road closures will redirect traffic in Rochester during the week of Oct. 5., one in the city's downtown and the other in the southeast quadrant.
Beginning Wednesday, westbound lanes of 12th Street Southeast will close from Fourth Avenue to Eighth Avenue Southeast. Rochester Public Works crews will be repairing sewer manholes along the roadway, according to a city press release.
Access to businesses in the construction area will be maintained, but work will occur in intersections and access from the north to 12th Street Southeast will be affected.
Eighth Avenue Southeast will stay open with temporary closures during the work to allow traffic to and from Lincoln Choice Elementary.
The lanes will reopen to traffic on Monday, Oct. 12.
