The United Way of Olmsted County's Women's Leadership Council is accepting nominations for the annual Maude Finch Awards.
The awards recognizes the achievement and service of a woman, business or organization whose contribution to our community advances the common good with their service, volunteerism, and leadership.
Maude Finch was the recording secretary of the Rochester Community Chest, who, when paid $20 for her clerical services in 1925, donated those proceeds back to the organization for the common good.
Nominations are being accepted for a woman, organization or business in each of the community impact areas: Income (including Community Basics), Education and Health. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., Sept. 13.
Nomination forms are available online at the United Way of Olmsted County's website.
