Woman accused of making threats with pipe

A woman is behind bars today after police say she used a length of pipe to threaten her former roommate.

Tina Michelle Gordon, 29, could be arraigned as early as today on felony charges of second-degree assault and terroristic threats, and a single count of disorderly conduct.

The incident began about 5:05 p.m. Thursday, when Rochester police were called to Dollar Tree, 1201 Broadway Ave. South, where Gordon's former roommate was working.

Officers learned Gordon had entered the store minutes earlier and threatened the female employee with a 3- to 4-foot piece of pipe, said Capt. John Sherwin. Customers were also present, he said.

The store manager intervened, and Gordon left. Police found her later at her home in the 500 block of 14th Street Southeast, where she was arrested.
