PETERSON — A 76-year-old woman was hospitalized Wednesday night after she fell asleep at the wheel and her car went into a ditch in rural Fillmore County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Marjorie Kjeseth, of Benson, Minn., was traveling east toward Rushford on Minnesota Highway 30 when the crash occurred just after 7 p.m. The mile marker wasn't listed, but the report called Minnesota Highway 250 the nearest intersection.
Kjeseth was transported to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester . Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to the patrol.
The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office and the Rushford Police Department assisted at the scene.
