WINONA — A woman who pleaded guilty to breaking into St. Charles homes and stealing coins and blank checks was sentenced to 40 hours of community service, five years of probation and $2,000 in restitution.
Heather Lynn Kieffer, 34, of St. Charles, pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to three counts of third-degree burglary on three complaints.
She was accused of breaking into houses in December and taking coins, currency, jewelry and a checkbook. She used the checks to get items and cash, and she pawned the jewelry in Rochester.
