Your Pictures: POW/MIA Day at Soldiers Field

About 100 people attended events at the National POW/MIA Day at the Soldiers Field Memorial on Sept. 21.

The main speaker at the program was Chad Stowers. Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede read a proclamation from Gov. Mark Dayton that the week of Sept. 21 was POW/MIA recognition week in Minnesota. A prayer was given by Harry Kerr. 

The POW/MIA Riders, started in Rochester in 2010, has the mission of keeping POW/MIA issues in the public eye. A total of 1,655 American soldiers who fought in Vietnam remain unaccounted for, and six from the Iraq War.
