Zumbro Regatta is planned for Saturday

ZUMBRO FALLS — The third annual Anything That Floats regatta down the Zumbro River from Zumbro Falls to Hammond will Saturday with races for homemade, decorated and milk carton crafts and kayaks.

The project began as a way to highlight the river and its recreational opportunities.

The homemade craft race begins at 11 a.m. and goes from Zumbro Falls to Hammond; the decorated class begins at 1 p.m. and those with kayaks can start any time - they will be given a starting time and will be clocked out at Hammond. All begin behind the Zumbro Falls ball field.

Finally, the milk carton and youth under 18 race will begin at 4 p.m. just upriver of Hammond and goes to Hammond.

There will be Bounce House and refreshments in Hammond.

Entry fee is $15 per craft.
