Alice Chandler — Rochester

A memorial service for Alice Chandler will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Madonna Towers chapel in Rochester. John Ritter will officiate. Mrs. Chandler, 93, a resident of Madonna Towers, died there on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015.

Alice Eleanor LeLacheur was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of James and Agnes (Dewitt) LeLacheur. Raised in Detroit, Mich., she worked as a teller for the Wayne Oakland Bank in Royal Oak.

On Aug. 18, 1951, she married Jack Chandler in Royal Oak. The couple resided in Vestul, N.Y., for a few years, then in the late 1950s moved to Rochester and have resided here since. Alice enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and playing the organ.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Chandler of Rochester; sons, Jack "Tom" (Ruth) Chandler of New Brighton, David (Kay) Chandler of Osceola, Wis.; daughters, Linda (John) Van Heuklom of Middleton, Wis., Judy Chandler of Faribault; grandchildren, Laura, Karin, Emily, Robert, Renee, Brad, Mitch, Michael, Allison, Dan and Jeff; and a great-grandchild, Aubrey.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the Madonna Towers chapel.
