Ann Marie Wegman — Albuquerque, N.M.
Ann Wegman, 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., after a long battle with respiratory ailments.
Ann was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Warroad, to Levi and Marie Ganyo. She married Ken Wegman on June 13, 1964, in Warroad.
Ann enjoyed working as a welfare case worker for the state of New Mexico. The Wegmans lived in San Jose, Calif.; Pine Island; Dodge Center; and Socorro, N.M., before retiring to Albuquerque. Ann was known for her caring nature and numerous volunteer projects, especially with the churches she belonged to. Ann was also a big fan of Lobo basketball.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, of Albuquerque; her children, Susan Wegman, of Rochester, and Elizabeth Langworthy, of Pine Island; and grandchildren, Sophia, Noelle, and Daniel Langworthy of Pine Island. She is also survived by her brothers, Dwaine Ganyo, of San Antonio, Texas, Roger (Pat) Ganyo, of Oak Park Heights, and David (Mary) Ganyo, of Nevis; and her sister, Joy Ganyo, of Northfield. She also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Dawna Reynolds.
A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at French-Westside Funeral Home in Albuquerque.
