Anna Rose LaFreniere — Preston
Anna Rose LaFreniere, 90, of Preston, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Christ Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dave Jore officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Preston.
Anna Rose was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Preston, the daughter of William and Emma McDowell. She attended school in Preston. She worked at the local Red Owl grocery store and then several businesses throughout Preston. On Sept. 7, 1947, she married Hirsel Ray LaFreniere at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston. After her marriage, Anna continued to work and was also a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church. She loved to travel and take drives on Sunday afternoons. She also enjoyed going out for lunch.
She is survived by her two children, Rosie LaFreniere of Savage, Mont., and son, Robert (Cindy) of Preston; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Florence McDowell; and also many nieces and nephews,
Friends may call from noon until service time at the church on Saturday.
