Barbara M. Steubs - Edina

Barbara Marie Steubs, 83, of Edina, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Her family was by her side when she drifted away to be with the Lord.

Barbara was full of life and she had a smile that could light up a room. She loved spending time with her family and friends; traveling, gardening and playing board games were just a few of her favorite hobbies.

She is survived by her children, Sue Thompson and husband, Ken, of Stillwater, Dr. John Steubs and wife, Julie, of Eden Prairie, Sherry House of Lubbock, Texas and Ronald Steubs and wife, Leslie, of Edina; grandchildren, Katie Padderud and husband, Dustyn, Eric Steubs, Chris Thompson, J. Tyler Steubs, Lindsay Foerster and husband, Ashley, Michael Steubs and Kelley Steubs; great-grandchild, Taryn Steubs; and sister-in-law, Gladys Hertzberg of Des Moines, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur C. Steubs.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel of Edina.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, and an hour prior to service. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Minneapolis Humane Society of Golden Valley.
