Bob Fox - Rochester

ROCHESTER — Bob Fox, the General Manager of Clear Channel Communications in Rochester, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at his home. He was 61 years old.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday (April 17) at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota, with the Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bob was born August 28, 1948, in Great Falls, Mont. He graduated from high school in Great Falls and attended the University of Montana in Missoula. He worked in the radio business in Oregon, Montana and California, then moved to Rochester in 1999 where he presently was General Manager of Clear Channel Communications.

Bob loved classic cars and was a member of the Stewie Cruisers. He was very active in supporting community events. An avid runner, he completed 13 Big Sur Marathons as well as local ones. He enjoyed high school sports and was a high school basketball official. Bob was a Vietnam era veteran and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota.

On October 26, 1991, he married Cara Gulsvig in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Bob is survived by his beloved family: wife Cara and daughter Catie, both of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Casey Fox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
