Brenda Kline -- Pine Island

Brenda (Myklebust) Kline, age 59, longtime resident of Rochester and new resident of Pine Island, passed away Feb. 9, after an 11-year battle with cancer.

Husband, Eric; son, Gabriel; stepdaughters, Erica and Danielle; and grandchildren, Davide, Syria, Cassius, Chance and Keana, survive Brenda. Numerous original family members also survive.

Brenda's life represents the best aspects of humanity, humaneness, and God. She was the best wife and mother, unconditionally. Brenda was a profoundly positive person. She was a positive psychologist, with multiple clients crediting her with saving their lives. Her positivity in her art developed into a mastery of several styles. Many of her works sold, one commissioned work remains on display, and one work was published in an artistic periodical. Her positivity in her gardens bloomed cheer into her neighborhoods. She was positive in her dancing, with a natural rhythm, flowing especially to big band. But mostly, she fostered and developed a deeper relationship with God, and God became the most important aspect of Brenda's life.

She devoted hundreds of hours to Bible study and prayer, and participated in ministry activities. Brenda loved and trusted her Lord Jesus, and her greatest wish for all her family and friends is for each one to come to know and trust the same Jesus she now knows and trusts even more. "If you seek the Lord, you will find Him" Jer. 29.13, if you haven't found Him — you haven't been looking.

Brenda's favorite verse is Philippians 4:8

"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."

Brenda's life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.on March 4 at Hope Summit Christian Church, 1315 6th Ave. SE, Rochester; reception to follow.

All who know Brenda, Eric or Gabriel are welcome and encouraged to participate.
