Carol Ann Foster — Austin
Carol Ann Foster, 58, of Austin, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society in Austin, after a very brief battle with ocular melanoma of the liver.
Carol was born Jan. 8, 1957, at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, to Victor and Angela (Kloeckner) Jensen. She attended Sacred Heart School in Adams, and graduated from Southland High School. After graduation, she attended Riverland Community College in Austin. Carol married Lowell Foster on Aug. 21, 1982, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. Carol was a bookkeeper for Kestner Electric.
Carol enjoyed caring for her flowers in her backyard flowerbeds, gardening, reading, shopping and spending time with family, friends and Walter (Kelly and Garrett's black lab). She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Angela Jensen.
Carol is survived by her husband of 32 years, Lowell Foster, Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen and Luke Green, Sartell; and Kelly and Garrett Erstad, Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Judy Kloeckner, Scottsdale, Ariz.; mother-in-law, Ann Foster, Clark, S.D.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Craig and LuJean Foster, Keller, Texas; sister-in-law, Marcia Huettl, Bloomington; aunts and uncle, Julaine and Lud Wencl, Owatonna and Elaine Kloeckner, Adams; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, with Father Marty Schaefer officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin, Thursday, May 21, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at the church on Friday morning for one hour before the service.
Memorials are preferred to the Hormel Institute, Austin, the Mayo Foundation for melanoma cancer research, Rochester or the Mower County Humane Society, Austin.
