Caroline Louise Haman — Rochester

A memorial service for Caroline Louise Haman will be held in her home town of Racine, Wis. Internment will take place in Racine, Wis., at West Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Caroline Louise Haman, 80, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Golden Living Center, Rochester West surrounded by family. Caroline fought a courageous battle against Parkinson's disease for more than 15 years.

Caroline was born May 30, 1932, in Racine, Wis., to Walter and Astrid (Johnson) Seyferth. She graduated from Racine Horlick High School in 1950 and furthered her education graduating from Beauty School in Milwaukee, Wis. Caroline married the love of her life Ralph A. Haman on May 5, 1951, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Racine, Wis. Caroline worked as a homemaker and beautician raising a family of six.

Survivors include four sons, David Haman, Las Vegas, Nev.; Jeffrey (Nancy) Haman, Racine, Wis.; Brian (Beth) Haman, Rochester; and Richard (Amy) Haman, Racine, Wis.; one daughter, Anne (Charlie) French, Racine, Wis.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Other survivors include special adoptive grandchildren, Stacie Neumann of Rochester and Eric Neumann of Minneapolis.

Caroline is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, daughter, Debra Jagielski, and parents.

The family would like to thank the special staff who worked at Golden Living Rochester West for five years of loving support and excellent care. Also one special friend, Beulah. They would also like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care with special thanks to Caroline's exceptional friend, Croix.

The family suggests memorials to Golden Living Rochester West and St. Croix Hospice.
