Celeste Marie Olson — Wabasha

Celeste Marie Olson, 63, of Wabasha, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, following a lengthy battle of pancreatic cancer.

Celeste was born Aug. 16, 1950, to Donald and Juletta (Juenemann) Plaisance in St. Peter. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1968.

Celeste was a member of the American Legion women's auxiliary in Big River, Calif., where she enjoyed living the last four years. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. Celeste also enjoyed her summers in Minnesota with her family and friends.

Celeste is survived by two sons, John Wohlers of Le Sueur and Benjamin Boyd of Rochester; daughter, Molly Boyd of Chatfield; four grandchildren; her husband, Bob Olson; siblings, Mari (Kevin) Banz of Cottage Grove and Lori (Dennis) Curran of Eden Prairie.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake, Minn.
