Charles J. Roller - Rochester
Charles "Chuck" J. Roller, 83, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Madonna Towers in Rochester.
Chuck was born in Rochester on July 25, 1928, to Frank and Rosa (Kynzel) Roller. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Chuck was a driver salesman for Marigold (Kemps) for over 37 years and Headstart for seven years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 57 years, Valena; six children, Carman (Bob) Irelan of Rochester, Keith (Janna) Roller of Kauai, Hawaii, Donald (Bev) Roller of Sioux City, Iowa, Lana (Jon) Anthony of Cannon Falls, Neva (Jim) Kueffer of Roseville and Zelda (Tom) Berg of Rochester; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Meyer of Rochester; two brothers, Frank (Doris) Roller of Yerrington, Nev., and Dale (Liz) Roller of Chatfield.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lena Murray.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. today, May 21, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, with Rev. Les Stevens officiating. Interment took place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
