Cindy (Haskin) Hornstein — DeLand, Fla.

Cindy (Haskin) Hornstein, after a short battle with cancer, died on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. Cindy has gone ahead before us to begin her eternal life with our Lord, her mother, grandparents, and many other friends, relatives and fur babies that preceded her.

Cindy was born to Daryl and Betty Haskin on June 8, 1960. She grew up in West Concord and has lived the past 20-plus years in Florida and loved her life there. She was a true lover of animals. Cats were her passion, and she fought hard for the exotic cats in Florida; she was their voice. She was a volunteer at Sue Arnold's Wildlife and Rehabilitation Center. Her love for animals lives on in her daughter, Kari, and her grandchildren.

She has left behind her heart print on many family members and friends.

We welcome all friends and family to join us for a luncheon, to share with us a celebration of her life, Saturday, Jan. 24, beginning at 11 a.m. at Byron Events Center, 505 Frontage Road NW, Byron, MN 55920.

A service in Florida was also held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family to help with expenses.
