Clifford Hutsell - Janesville, Wis.
SPRING VALLEY — Cliff Hutsell, 58, formerly of Spring Valley, went home on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Beloit Memorial Hospital, due to a 21-month fight with pancreatic cancer.
He was born July 7, 1952, the son of Lewis and Verna (Gollen) Hutsell in Spokane, Wash. Cliff married his best friend and the love of his life, Chris (Schwab) Hutsell, on June 2, 2007. He worked for Merit Contracting Inc. as a roofer from 1989 until he went on disability. He was a member of the NRA, active in hunting, camping, watching NASCAR racing, going for rides in the country, and coaching and attending kids' sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Chris of Janesville, Wis.; his children, Jared (Jill) Hutsell of St. Charles, Michael Hutsell of Stewartville, and Jordan Hutsell of Wykoff; his step children, Andy Schwab of Janesville, and Tyler Schwab of Janesville; two grandchildren, Lily and Brayden Hutsell of St. Charles; one step granddaughter, Haylie Schwab of Janesville; one sister, Jeannine (Jim) Penrose of Sandpoint, Idaho; one brother, Nick (Pam) Hutsell of Apache Junction, Ariz.; many other relatives and friends, and a pet cat, Toby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one step grandson, Nathan Schwab.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Fillmore Free Methodist Church, 19127 County Rd. 8, Wykoff, MN 55990. A visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of service at the church.
Clifford’s family would like to thank Beloit Hospice, Beloit Hospital, the nurses on third floor special care unit & Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Ill. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in memory of Cliff.
