Clifford O. 'Cliff' Peterson - Rochester

ROCHESTER — Clifford "Cliff" Orlyn Peterson, 78, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester.

Cliff was born in Grafton, N.D., on April 30, 1932, to LeRoy and Bonita (Noreen) Peterson. He married Betty Burreson on June 11, 1958, in Michigan, N.D. Cliff worked as a guidance counselor and librarian at John Edwards High School in Port Edwards, Wis. He also worked in Petersburg, N.D., as a guidance counselor. Cliff enjoyed golfing, tennis and spending time with former students.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Betty; two children, Jon (Mary Sirian) Peterson of Rochester, and Patrick (Beka) Peterson of Southfield, Mich.; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Emily and Lenna Peterson.

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

A private family service will be held at a later date in Hudson, Wis.
