Connie Elaine Heimberg was born Sept. 24, 1964, in Zumbrota, to Fred and Rosemary (nee Kirgis) Heimberg. She grew up in rural Pine Island, attended Pine Island schools and graduated in 1983 from Pine Island High School. Connie attended RCTC for two years, and on Aug. 24, 1985, was united in marriage to her "Neighbor Boy" LaVerne Dose at Zwingli United Church of Christ. They lived in several communities before making Pine Island their home. Connie worked as a para-professional at Pine Island High School, where she was affectionately known as "Mama Dose" and at the Farm Country Co-op in Pine Island, where she worked up until her death.

Connie was a master gardener, wonderful cook and loving wife, mother and friend. LaVerne remembers the 28 years of joy, laughter and fellowship.

Connie is survived by her "Neighbor Boy" husband, LaVerne; son, Michael (Cadie Delzer) Dose of Byron; daughter, Kimberly (Kody Wright) Dose of Pine Island; grandson, Milo; parents, Fred and Rosemary Heimberg of Pine Island; brothers, Richard (Tammy) Heimberg and Roger (Diana) Heimberg, both of Pine Island; paternal grandmother, Florence Heimberg of Pine Island; and mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Charles Dose of Pine Island.

Connie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ludwig and Elaine Kirgis and paternal grandfather, Fred Heimberg, Sr.

Memorials are suggested to the family to help offset medical expenses.
