David Adrian Burdick - Woodbridge, Va

David Adrian Burdick, 43, of Woodbridge, Va., beloved son, brother, uncle, and father, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. David was born on December 25, 1968, in Zumbrota, to Adrian and Dolores (Fernandez) Burdick. He attended Mazeppa High School along with other on the job training.

Following school he entered into the U.S. Army. David worked at Rochester Petroleum Equipment, Fenskes Mustangs Auto Body, where he became skilled at metal fabricating, Terry Dobson Auto, and also at AA Custom Speed Shop in Woodbridge, VA, where he built custom cars. David enjoyed working on cars, playing cards, camping, fishing, and reading. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

David is survived by his sons; Andrew and Denton; daughter, Nina; parents, Adrian and Dolores of Mazeppa; brothers, Brian (Heidi) Burdick of Mazeppa, Michael (fiancée Samantha Dolan) Burdick of Rochester; sister, Dana (Matt) Larson of Rochester; nephews and nieces, Alex, Ethan, Hayden, Brooklyn, Vivienne, and Liam; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alberto and Carlota Fernandez; paternal grandparents, Chester Freiheit, Nelson and Mary Burdick; uncles, Richard Burdick, Albert Fernandez; and aunt, Elviria Kellis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Joseph Fogal officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel, in Zumbrota, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
