David B. Kispert, M.D. - Sunfish Lake, Minn.

David B. Kispert, M.D., a devoted husband, father, brother and son, age 62, of Sunfish Lake, Minn., died peacefully Aug. 29, 2012, with his wife and family by his side.

Graduate of Highland Park High School 1968 and the University of Minnesota 1972. Accepted into the inaugural class of the Mayo Medical School, Rochester, where he later completed a fellowship in neuroradiology and accepted a position on the medical staff of the Mayo Clinic.

In 1987, he joined St. Paul Radiology, where he practiced until two weeks before his death.

His kind, gentle and humble spirit will be missed by all. His great wit and sense of humor brightened many days. His wisdom changed many lives. If you knew him or just crossed his path, you were better off for it.

Preceded in death by his father, Merland Kispert. He leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Maureen; his mother, Marilyn Kispert; three sons, Christopher, Brian (Tara), and Scott (Nikki); sister, Christine (Terry) Reardon; brother, Dennis (Denise) Kispert; loving friends, Gina and Allyson; and eagerly awaited granddaughter, Ella Jean.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at St. Thomas Academy High School, 949 Mendota Heights Rd., Mendota.

Memorials preferred to HealthEast Hospice, St. Thomas Academy and the Convent of the Visitation.
