Dennis J. Hart, 86, a longtime Stewartville, MN resident died on Thursday (September 3, 2020) of natural causes at his home.

Dennis James Hart was born on November 11, 1933 in Durand, WI to Clate and Rebbeca(Adams) Hart. He grew up in rural Colfax,WI, attended Colfax H.S. and later received his GED. He enlisted into the U.S. Army serving overseas in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he returned to the Colfax area where he was employed in the lumber industry and as a truck driver with his brother’s company. Dennis was married on February 11, 1961 at the Brides Church in Alma,WI to Joyce M. Wenger. Following their marriage the couple lived in Coon Rapids,MN, where Dennis was employed with 21st Century Genetics. He was transferred to it’s Stewartville location in 1968, where Dennis and Joyce moved with their 2 sons and have continued to make their home. Dennis was employed for over 30 years with 21st Century Genetics until his retirement. He and Joyce also managed D and D Motor Mart in Stewartville for 4 enjoyable years. Mrs. Hart died March 1, 2014. Dennis was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed coaching both of his son’s youth baseball teams. Dennis and Joyce were pet lovers

and had many dogs at home through the years. He enjoyed pheasant hunting, following the Twins and loved time spent with his family especially his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his 2 sons – Jeff(Katie) of Rochester,MN and Kevin(Brigid) of New Prague,MN; 2 grandchildren – Ava Hart and Sullivan Hart; 1 brother – Dick(Barb) Hart of Zumbrota,MN and 1 brother-in-law – LaValle(Betty) Wenger – Cedar,MN. He was preceded in death by his wife – Joyce, his parents, 1 sister – Vera Gilmore and 1 brother – Robert Hart.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday ( September 18, 2020) at Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville. A private family memorial service will take place Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley,MN with Rev. Marc Frieberg officiating.
