Donald E. Jameson – Cedar Falls, Iowa
Donald E. Jameson, 84, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died in his home on June 17.
He was born March 26, 1932, in Spring Grove, Minn., to Edward and Myrtle Jameson. He married Mavis Anderson, of Rushford. He graduated from Mabel High School in 1950 and then served in the Army from 1953 to 1955, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany.
Don earned a tool and die degree and worked for John Deere for 32 years, holding many positions including tool and die, methods, manufacturing / development and divisional engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis, of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Kathern (David) Schemmel; his son, Thomas (April) Jameson; his sister, Joyce Spande, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his sister in-law, Lila Jameson; four grandchildren, Travis, Angela, Gregory and Brianna; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Myrtle Jameson; and his brother, Merlin Jameson.
Services will be 11 a.m. July 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. July 1 at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and at the church for one hour before services on Saturday.
Don served as a deacon and on church council for Saint Paul Lutheran Church. He was a member of SME Society of Manufacturing Engineering and a lifetime member of the AMVETS. Don was truly loved by all.
