Dorothy Ann (Hilinski) Beckman -- Rochester

A memorial Mass for Dorothy Ann Beckman will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at Resurrection Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Dorothy Ann (Hilinski) Beckman, 88, of Rochester, passed away on May 30, 2014, at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home on 8th.

Dorothy was born on Sept. 19, 1925, in Cloquet, to Walter and Charlotte (Wujkowski) Hilinski. She married Edward Beckman on Feb. 26, 1949, and later divorced. Dorothy enjoyed golfing on a league at Eastwood and Soldier's Field golf courses, playing bingo, fishing and being in the outdoors. She worked as a registered nurse for St. Marys Hospital and Assisi Heights. She was also a PCA for Mark Lowry for eight years.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley (Judy) Beckman, of Rochester, Gregory Beckman, of Eyota, and Colin Beckman, of Elk River; her daughter, Julie Gikas, of Maple Grove; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charlotte Beckman; four brothers; and four sisters.

She was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Sharing her love for life and her wisdom with all.

Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic for dialysis and kidney research.
