Dorothy Cecelia Zelinske — West Concord

Dorothy C. Zelinske, 93, of West Concord, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Milton Township, the daughter of James and Amelia (Schweimann) Carney. Dorothy married Charles Zelinske on Nov. 18, 1943, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Mantorville. The couple farmed together for many years. Charles preceded Dorothy in death on Sept. 16, 1995, after nearly 52 years of marriage.

Dorothy was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in West Concord. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, curing meats and playing cards with friends and neighbors.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Charles (and Pakakrong) Zelinske of Albuquerque and Rory Zelinske of Mantorville; daughter, Wendy (and Mike) Dengler of Byron; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, two sisters and two infant sisters.

Visitation will be at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, with Father Thien Nguyen officiating.
