Duane D. Mahon — Rochester

Duane D. Mahon, 49, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, doing what he enjoyed, working outdoors.

Duane David Mahon was born Nov. 11, 1963, to William and Darlene (Bemmert) Mahon in Rochester. He attended Rochester John Marshall High School. Duane worked as a carpet installer for Bowers Carpet Installation.

He loved working outdoors. Duane enjoyed mowing, blowing snow, snowmobiling, hunting, motor cross, cutting firewood; and especially spending time with his daughter, Britney.

Duane is survived by his mother, Darlene Mahon, Rochester; his daughter, Britney Mahon, Ostrander; his significant other, Linda Maccini, Rochester; his sister, Monica (Boyd Gasner, Jr.) Hammill, Eyota; his two brothers, Robert (Sue Lindberg) Mahon, Coon Rapids and Jeff (Lisa) Mahon, Rochester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, William, and his nephew, William E. Schmoll.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. A private family service and burial will be held at a later date.
