Edward Dale Wyant — Pepin, Wis.
Edward Dale Wyant, 77, of Pepin, Wis., died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 28, 1936, in Austin, son of Edward Charles and Hazel (Wallem) Wyant. Ed graduated from Austin High School.On March 30, 1957, he was united in marriage to Joan Marie Crilly. They lived in Rochester, where Ed worked at IBM for over 30 years. Following his retirement, Ed and Joan moved to Pepin, Wis.. They spent their winters in Brownsville, Texas.
Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, collecting, traveling, carpentry and working in the garage. He loved spending time with family and friends on the deck overlooking Lake Pepin and in Brownsville,Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Wyant of Pepin, Wis.; son, Edward William Wyant of Zumbro Falls; daughters, Sandra Jean Wyant of Chaska, and Cheryl Lynn Wyant of Memphis, Tenn.; grandsons, Joshua (Anne) Wyant of Stewartville, and Jeffrey (Dana) Wyant of Plainview; granddaughter, Angela (Mike) Conlin of Stewartville; great-grandsons, Zachary Wyant, Elijah Wyant, Tarin Conlin, and Easton Wyant; great-granddaughter, Kahlan Wyant; brothers, Charles (Leora) Wyant of Austin, and Gary Wyant of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Berniece Molde of Stewartville, Evelyn (Jim) Allgood of Austin, and Linda (Fred) Drehobl of Lake of the Woods, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Charles Wyant.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, at United Methodist Church in Pepin, Wis., with Pastor Tammy Clausen officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, Wis. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
