Garland Younger -- Arlee, Mont.

Garland C. Younger "Doc," 92, formerly of Rochester, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, in Arlee, Mont.

He was born on May 17, 1925, in Dover, to John and Alice (Tarrud) Younger. On Oct. 23, 1947, he married Elizabeth Krier. He worked at KROC Radio and Olmsted County Bank and was a partner in the accounting firm of Quiter, Younger & Swanson. The couple lived in Rochester, Marion and Outing, Minn., until moving to Arlee, Mont., in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; son, Lyman "Cole" of Arlee; grandson, TJ (Anita); great-grandchildren, Logan and Blake of Vancouver, Wash.; granddaughter, Shari (Chad) Hert of Kalispell, Mont.; brother, Zane of Eagan, Minn.; sister-in-law, Betty Younger of Northfield, Minn.; and brother-in-law, Don Ruberg of Arizona and their families.

Garland was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (McGuire) Younger; brothers, Oliver and Norman; and sister, June Ruberg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Missoula, Mont. Condolences for Garland's family may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhomecemetery.com.
