Gerald 'Jerry' Domonoske -- Rochester

Gerald (Jerry) Herman Domonoske, 93, of Rochester, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Madonna Towers.

Jerry was born on June 18, 1920, to Olga and Herman Domonoske in rural Morristown. He married Gladys Palmby on June 25, 1947. Together they lovingly raised four children.

Jerry is survived by their two daughters: Fay (Tom) Peterson of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Shawn (Scott) Mattison of Fargo, N.D. and their two sons Clair (Donna) Domonoske of Huntsville, Texas, and Bradley (Cindy) Domonoske of Rochester, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Gladys preceded him in death in July of 2008.

Jerry enjoyed a variety of occupations, including his time as a farmer early in his life, as a United Methodist minister and as manager of Decision Hills United Methodist Retreat Center in Spicer. He was known for his generosity, warmth and helpful nature and a ready smile.

At his request, his body was donated to Mayo Clinic to help in the advancement of education and research.
