Grace Audrey Eickman -- St. Peter
Grace Audrey (Tarras) Eickman died on Aug. 25, 2014, in St. Peter, Minn. She was born on Jan. 17, 1925, to Fred and Frances (Hastert) Tarras of Winona. While working at the Watkins Company, she met Robert (Bob) Eickman and they were later married on Dec. 2, 1950, in Winona.
Grace and Bob made their home in many different U.S. cities when they were first married. They settled down in Rochester, where they lived for 38 years. In 1995, they moved to St. Peter, to be closer to their daughters. Grace enjoyed life near her children and their families. Holidays were especially treasured and fully celebrated by Grace. Her four grandchildren provided much great joy and purpose in her later years.
Surviving Grace are her husband, Bob, of 63 years and two daughters with families: Kathy, Joe, Anna and Laura Klatt and Paula, Dave, Audrey and Eleanor Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: William, Ronald and Bernard Tarras.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with urn burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the church with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
