Greg Allen Ballard — Congress, Ariz.

Greg Allen Ballard left this world at the age of 63 on the evening of Nov. 3, 2015, due to complications from a heart attack suffered while residing in Congress, Ariz.

Greg was born in Grafton, N.D., to Lester and Eloise Ballard (Peterson/Tjernagel) on Nov. 1, 1952. He was the oldest of four children.

Greg was raised in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1970. He went to Winona Tech in 1972 and then spent six years at Lake Center Industries doing tool and die making. Greg later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in economics from Winona State University. Upon graduating from WSU, he spent 18 years as an investment broker for Edward Jones in Rochester and Scottsdale, Ariz.

Greg was married to Linda for 27 years and, later, Jani for 10 years. He enjoyed motorcycling, gold mining, S.C.U.B.A. diving, coin collecting, trap shooting, deer and pheasant hunting, fishing, gun collecting, and traveling when possible.

Greg suffered a long-term battle with lupus which contributed to his overall health decline.

He is survived by son, Allen Kronebusch (wife, Debbie), grandsons, Ethan and Aiden, and siblings, Brad Ballard, Sheri Lundstrom, and Gary Ballard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Ballard and Eloise Tjernagel.

A memorial dinner service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. at Opa Opa at 1106 15th Ave. SE, Rochester, MN. RSVPs required due to venue size at http://evite.me/RE5kWE3fXa .
