Harriet Mabel Bauer — Rochester

Harriet Mabel Bauer, 84, of Rochester, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at her daughter's home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Red Wing, daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Servis) Olson. She grew up in Maiden Rock, Wis. On July 3, 1947, she married Clarence Peters in Lake City. The couple lived in Red Wing where Harriet worked as a nursing assistant at the Red Wing Health Care Center. Clarence passed away in 1970. On Oct. 30, 1971, Harriet married Frank Bauer. Frank passed away in 1985, and in 1987, Harriet moved to Rochester.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Harriet is survived by her two daughters, Delores (Marvin) Johnson of Prescott, Wis., and Marlene Kane of Rochester; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one special friend, Al Jorgenson of Stewartville; one sister, Gladys (Loren) Thompson of Elmwood, Wis.; and one brother, Merlyn Olson of Caledonia.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; and one brother, Floyd.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City, with the Rev. Matt Schneider Adams officiating. Burial will be at St. Johns Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
