Ione F. Breidel - Rochester

ROCHESTER — Ione F. Breidel, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at Rochester Golden Living Center East.

Ione Fae Crary was born April 11, 1928 to Roy and Vida (Spring) Crary in Plainview, Minn. Ione was a bartender for many years at the Hollywood Bar. She also worked at Just For Kids Day Care and the Rochester School District.

She was an active member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Rochester; and a past member of First Christian Church in Rochester, Minn. She was involved in the Miram Ministry and did bell ringing for the Salvation Army and baking.

She married Dave Fuller in 1947 and they were later divorced; and married James Breidel in 1960 and they were later divorced. She was a member of the Rochester Women of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 1645, Rochester Area Solo Parents, Northgate Health Club, Royal Neighbors, and Huff and Puff Club. She was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, involved with Walk and Eat Buddies, Meals On Wheels, the Senior Citizen Center, and volunteered for Fontaine Towers with their bazaars and bake sales. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family and friends.

Ione is survived by her two sons, Jaimie (Rebecca) Breidel, Rochester, Minn., and Larry Fuller, Montose, Colo.; one daughter, Linda (Bill) Pike, Byron, Minn.; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnold "Bud" (Eleanor) Crary, Plainview, Minn.; and four sisters, Sharon (Ernest) Wood, Crossville, Tenn., Myra (Rodney) Richardson, Eau Claire, Wis., Shila Stahl, Pepin, Wis., and Elaine Friedrich, Zumbrota, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a great-grandson, and her two husbands.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at Peace United Church of Christ.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. A private family burial will be held at Grandview Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Peace United Church of Christ, or the donors choice.
