Jay T. Hanson — Lonsdale
Jay T. Hanson, 51, of Lonsdale, passed away April 18, 2016.
Jay Hanson, the son of Harlan and Maxine Hanson, was born and raised in Albert Lea. He played football and ran track, lettering in both. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1983. He then attended Mankato State University, graduating with a degree in advertising design.
While in Mankato, he met his wife, Lisa. They moved to Lonsdale and were raising their boys, Wyatt and Parker. He was currently employed by Fantini North America. Jay's favorite pastimes were fishing, camping and being outdoors.
He really enjoyed attending the boys' and their friends' sporting events, and hanging out with them. Jay was a very kind and gentle man with a good heart. He was a great husband and father, and loved spending time with all of his family and friends — we can't always solve problems by ourselves; it is courageous to ask for help.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, Harlan.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons, Wyatt and Parker; mother, Maxine Hanson; siblings, Judy (Gary) Johnson; nephews, Anthony and Timothy; Janice (Dennis) Brandt; nieces, Andrea Irlis and Jennifer Brandt; Jackie (Lonnie) Groe; nephews, Randy and Scott, and Jeff (Susan) Hanson, and nephews, Zachary and Jacob; and by other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, April 26, at White Funeral Home Chapel in Lonsdale.
