Jeffrey Richard Wallaker — Clear Lake, Iowa

Jeffrey Richard Wallaker of Clear Lake, Iowa, formerly of Kenyon, died at his home Saturday, July 6, 2013.

Jeffrey was born to Richard and Kathleen Wallaker on July 28, 1959. He graduated from Kenyon High School in 1978, and went on to join the Army, serving for three years in Germany. He returned home and furthered his education, becoming an office machinery technician.He moved to Mason City, Iowa, where he met and married Shelly Block, they were later divorced. At the time of his death, he was working at Metal Fabrications in Clear Lake.

Jeff's passion in life was playing golf; he was very proud of his hole-in-one at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Clear Lake.

Jeff is survived by his son and friend, Nathan Wallaker; his father, Richard (Irene Jones) Wallaker; brother, Jamie (Janet) Wallaker; sister, Jody (Ron) Hanson; nieces, Angela Hanson, Jessica and Justine Wallaker; nephew, Jamie Wallaker; and grandmother, Elaine LeMieux. He will be missed by many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Wallaker, grandparents, Manton and Dora Wallaker, Theodore Kitzman and Louis LeMieux, and niece, Ashley Hanson.

A celebration of his life will be held at the home of Jamie and Janet Wallaker, 622 Forest St. in Kenyon, on Saturday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m.
