Jerald Koelsch — Pine Island
Jerald Koelsch, 60, of Pine Island, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at his home.
Jerald enjoyed being with family, especially his grandchildren, classic car shows, gardening, fishing, hunting and camp fires. He loved living on the farmstead where he grew up and enjoyed the country life. He graduated from Pine Island High School in 1974. He worked at Pine Plating, Mayo Clinic, Fleet Farm and most recently at CarQuest.
Jerald was joined in marriage to Monica Taubel on July 2, 1977, at Immaculate Conception Church, Kellogg.
Survivors are wife, Monica (Taubel) Koelsch; daughter, Kathleen (Philip) Hughes, of Rochester; son, Adam (Mindy) Koelsch, Emmons; daughter, Kristina (Sean) Kraushaar, Glenville; sister, Judy (Joe) Erm, Minnetonka; brother, James (Linda) Koelsch, Oronoco; brother, Paul (Nancy) Hegreberg, Halstad; five grandchildren, Lexi, Hailey and Elizabeth Koelsch, Robert and David Hughes and stepgrandson, Justin Henschel. He was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Koelsch; stepgranddaughter, Chloe Henschel; and his parents, Charlie and Lou Koelsch.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island, with Father Randal Kasel officiating. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m., followed by a visitation on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home — Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and a visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery, Pine Island, Minn.
