JoAnn M. Seyffer — Wabasha

JoAnn M. Seyffer, 71, of Wabasha, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.

She was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Cook) Lanches. She married Kenneth Seyffer Dec. 16, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He died March 22, 2002.

JoAnn was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and thoroughly enjoyed them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved decorating her home and caring for it.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Ronald Grippo, Pepin, Wis., Anita and Dennis Dick, Wabasha, Kendra and Mark Glomski, Waupun, Wis., and Wendy and Rick Murray, Tomah, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ethel Lanches, Wabasha; several nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Lynn (Phyllis) Seyffer, Arkansaw, Wis., Robert Seyffer, Marshall, Wis., and Steven (Connie) Seyffer, Pepin, Wis, JoAnn is also survived by her beloved dog, Mitzi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her parents, brother, Gary Lanches and special aunts, Bessie Morine and Lyllis Ehlers and her parents-in-law, Harold and Fern Seyffer.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha, with the Rev. Timothy Blauert officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha.

Casket bearers will be, Thomas Glomski, Brian, William and Michael Dick, Kenric Murray, Zack Moskwa, Toby Tulip and Shaun Davis.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour before the service.
