Judith A. Helwig - Austin

AUSTIN — Judith A. Helwig, age 69, of Austin, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at her home.

Judy was born on February 10, 1941, in Wayzata, Minn., to Clayton and Lorna (Wefers) Endres. On September 19, 1961, she married Ronald Bruce Helwig Sr.

Judy was a Boy Scout leader for 10 years and was also active with the March of Dimes.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Judy is survived by her husband, R. Bruce Helwig Sr. of Austin; daughter, Kathryn Helwig of Austin; sons, "Ronald" Bruce Helwig Jr. of Manchester, N.H., and Robert Scott Helwig of Austin; grandson, Malcolm Freeborn; and brother, Clayton Endres Jr. of St. Paul.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Shari Mason officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, and for one hour before the service at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary.

Memorials may go to the Austin Area Boy Scouts of America.
